Who Needs Creative Friends?

Princess May Theatre,
November 2002
Part of the 2002 Festival of Fremantle

A new play about young people
and their determination
to contribute to the world creatively.

Hugh has severe writer’s block, so his friends attempt to inspire him by sharing their experiences and acting out amusing stories.

Over one night they discuss their thoughts on the importance of creativity while learning to see the stories that have shaped their lives.
In search of a means of original expression, Hugh encounters the conflict between work and friendship and the difficulties of living in a society where the value of art is constantly questioned.
